I recently confirmed from Sonja Hernandez, co-owner of baby-clothing-and-supplies shop The Littlest Birds in West Asheville, that the business was, indeed, named after the Be Good Tanyas’ signature song—“with their blessing,” notes Hernandez. (Check out Alli Marshall’s revealing interview with the band’s Sam Parton in Xpress’ Wednesday cover story.) … This got me thinking about local club Stella Blue, presumably named after the Grateful Dead song—and I was wondering about other local businesses that might be named in honor of their owners’ favorite songs. Are there any other compulsive list-makers out there who can add to the roster?
