Web Exclusive: Killer New Track from The Enemy Lovers

Asheville’s “next big thing” sure are getting close to busting into that moniker. Beach Boy-esque vocal harmonies; scathing rock ‘n’ roll guitar riffs; beautiful, aching dream-pop — yep, The Enemy Lovers are the real deal.

Check out an exclusive new demo below — impressively written and recorded in a day — which will be rerecorded early next year for the band’s first full-length, tentatively-titled The Asheville Days. And while you’re listening, go here to watch the band’s day job of smashing TVs with police batons and beating the crap out of Mickey Mouse.

So the “Next Big Thing” out of Asheville is a garage & emo band that sounds like Fall Out Boy trying to sound like Radiohead? Epic fail.

alright Kiesha Jean and Meagan, time for bed- you’ve both got a big day of school tomorrow at Erwin Hills. Did you finish your book reports on volcanoes? Couple more months and you’ll both have you learner’s permits, eh? Then you’ll be driving around while texting AND listening to lame-o music. great.
