Winter blahs have you hankering for a beer fest? OK, so the last Brewgrass was only four months back, but seven Western North Carolina breweries are ready to pour away the seasonal blues at the first annual Winter Warmer Beer Festival.
The beer fest will take place at the recently opened Garage at Biltmore on Saturday, Jan. 19, from 3 to 7 p.m.
The event, put on by the folks at Asheville Brews Cruise, features regional brews, barbecue by Luella’s and music by the Marc Higgins Band and Dehlia Low. Tickets are $35 per person and include beer, food, music and a souvenir mug. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Alzheimer’s Association.
According to the festival Web site, these breweries will be tending the taps:
French Broad Brewing Co.
Highland Brewing Co.
Green Man Brewing Co.
Pisgah Brewing Co.
Asheville Pizza & Brewing Co.
Heinzelmannchen Brewery
Catawba Valley Brewing Co.
