After suffering three rain outs, the Montford Park Players have added three more shows of its popular Macbeth.
“We’ve had a lot of demand for it,” said the Players’ managing director John Russell. “People have been telling us, ‘If you could extend it, we’d come see it.’”
The shows will be Friday, Oct. 9, Saturday Oct. 10 and a special showing on Tuesday, Oct. 13, when the Players will host the National Conference on Outdoor Drama. Friday and Saturday shows start at 7:30 p.m. and the Tuesday performance at 7 p.m.

We share your inclination to get the whole story. For the past 25 years, Xpress has been committed to in-depth, balanced reporting about the greater Asheville area. We want everyone to have access to our stories. That’s a big part of why we've never charged for the paper or put up a paywall.
We’re pretty sure that you know journalism faces big challenges these days. Advertising no longer pays the whole cost. Media outlets around the country are asking their readers to chip in. Xpress needs help, too. We hope you’ll consider signing up to be a member of Xpress. For as little as $5 a month — the cost of a craft beer or kombucha — you can help keep local journalism strong. It only takes a moment.
I enjoy the Montford shows but I wish they had an indoor (rain cover) venue. It seems like a lot of work for all involved to be at the mercy of Mother Nature.
