Asheville Police: Biltmore Village shooting suspect surrenders to authorities
Two full days after two individuals were shot in Biltmore Village, suspect Bryant DeAngelo Sanders surrendered to authorities. Sanders, 21, allegedly shot two individuals, ages 20 and 21, around 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 23. The victims were in their car at the time of the crime. The shooting occurred outside Chico’s clothing store off Sweeten Creek Road.

National Public Radio’s program All Things Considered ran a piece that centered on former Mission Hospital nurse Terry Cawthorne, part of the program’s investigative series “Injured Nurses,” which intends to expose how hospitals fail to protect nursing staff from injury.
Cawthorne’s story, “Hospital To Nurses: Your Injuries Are Not Our Problem,” is the third in a series of stories about the dangers of nursing, which runs throughout the month of February.

Carolina Public Press is at it again, continuing to foster a more well-informed region, with its newest initiative.
