Unemployment drops in Asheville MSA
The Asheville Metropolitan Statistical Area (including Buncombe, Henderson, Haywood and Madison counties) saw unemployment drop two percentage points in November to 3.5 percent, according to the latest statistics from the N.C. Employment Security Commission.
City recycling contest could net you $100
The city of Asheville and Curbside Management Inc. are co-sponsoring the Feed the Bin and Win recycling contest, which will award $100 a week for 16 weeks. The contest will begin the week of Feb. 4.
