10 local companies team up for Asheville Adventure Hunt, Aug. 6

PRESS RELEASE FROM EVENT ORGANIZERS:

Too old for Easter Egg hunts? Perfect for an Adventure Hunt! BANGS Shoes and Blue Ridge Chair Works present Asheville’s very first Adventure Hunt! Bringing together a booty of 10 local company’s prizes, the Hunt takes place on August 6th, 2016 beginning at 10am.

Borrowing tricks from a traditional treasure hunt, participants will follow a set of 6 clues around Downtown Asheville, ending with 3 lucky winners walking away with a grand package. There is also the option to collect free smoothies, donut holes, bracelets and sunglasses along the way.
“We wanted to put this scavenger hunt together simply because they’re so much fun,” said Hannah Davis, creator of BANGS Shoes. “It’s a great way to give back to our community and give our communities an opportunity to get outside and see Asheville.”

Merging together outdoor experiences and adventure gear, the prize packages include two pairs of BANGS Shoes and two French Broad Zip Line Tours in one, two ENO Hammocks and 2 Climbmax rock climbing passes in another, and two Blue Ridge Chair Works Chairs and two Asheville Yoga Center passes in the final one.

“We have multiple brands and businesses promoting the event so our hope is that this is an experience for everyone involved,” Davis said. “We’ve mapped out a route using downtown Asheville landmarks so it’s combining homegrown fun with the adventure we all promote.”
The Adventure Hunt was designed for outdoor-loving customers to get out and involved in their local community, highlighting neighborhood favorites while getting to experience some of their dream adventures along the way.

The full list of companies involved: BANGS Shoes, Blue Ridge Chair Works, Eagles Nest Outfitters, French Broad Adventures, Asheville Yoga Center, Climbax Climbing, Vortex Doughnuts, Odd’s Café, Maritime Supply Co Bracelets and Nectar Sunglasses.
