2014 Art with Heart to benefit fragile pediatric patients

Asheville, NC (August 18, 2014) – Small-to-medium sized works from more than 50 regional artists will be featured at the CarePartners Annual Charity Art with a Heart Sale, Thursday October 2, Friday October 3 and Saturday, October 4, along with selected art from area estates. A preview for area media will be held on Wednesday, August 27 at 12:00 noon at 105 Fairview Road.

“Asheville is blessed with a robust and active art community whose members are always willing to step forward to help a good cause,” said Brent Wyatt, director of retail operations for CarePartners Estate Sales Services. “They are literally the heart and soul of this event.” Proceeds from the event benefit Charity Art Sale will Benefit CarePartners Pediatric Home Health Care and Hospice.

“CarePartners serves as a huge health-care umbrella for our community, in so many important ways,” said contributing artist Wendy Whitson. “One of them is Pediatric Home Health Care and Pediatric Hospice services, which will benefit from this year’s Art Sale. As an artist and member of the Art Community, I am happy to contribute to this very worthy cause.”

Art with Heart will be held at the CarePartners Estate Sales Services showrooms at 105 Fairview Road just below The Screen Door. In addition to the media preview on Wednesday,

August 27 at 12 noon, there will be a wine and cheese reception on Thursday, October 2 from 5:30-8:00 p.m. for the public to preview the works of art. The sale begins on Friday, October 3 from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and continues through Saturday, October 4, from 10 a.m.-7 p.m.

“This art sale and the other activities of our retail programs are to insure funds for those persons who need care but have little or no resources. This sale will make available funds for the CarePartners’ programs that work with fragile children and their families, providing either in home care or, if needed, hospice,” said Scott Buchanan, Executive Director/Chief Operating Officer, CarePartners Foundation.
