A-B Tech marks Small Business Week with seminars

Press release

In honor of Asheville Small Business Week, the A-B Tech Small Business Center will hold a series of seminars April 21st – April 25th at the college’s main campus, and at the Enka site designed to provide current small business owners and entrepreneurs with valuable information to aid in the development of their businesses.

Seminars will focus on several relevant and popular topics such as: “encore entrepreneurship” and starting a business in later years, the real-life implications and applications of 3-D printing, alternative financing resources, and business planning.

The culminating event of the week is the annual JumpStart Small Business Expo from 4 – 6:30 p.m. April 24th in the Haynes Conference Center in Enka. Designed as a reverse trade show, the event is a valuable opportunity for local small business owners to become familiar with over 40 B2B community resources available to provide business development assistance at any stage of the process. By utilizing vendor assistance, current and potential owners can learn how to obtain a business loan, write a business plan, identify and reach target customers, structure an entity, secure a business license, find a space to rent, and more.

The Asheville Small Business Week JumpStart Small Business Expo events are free, and everyone is invited to attend. To secure a spot in the seminars, please register online at: AshevilleSmallBusinessWeek.com. Please note the Small Business Center reserves the right to limit and/or decline vendors.
