Press release
From A-B Tech
A-B Tech will host a free drop-in community open house from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4 in the Coman Student Center. Area residents are invited to investigate the more than 60 credit programs and hundreds of non-credit courses offered at the College.
Visitors will have an opportunity to explore hands-on exhibits in courses of study ranging from Accounting to Welding Technology, including new offerings in Pharmacy Technology and Building Construction Science. Instructors will be on hand to answer questions about programs, and departmental tours and Q&A sessions will be offered throughout the evening. A session on the guide to financial aid and scholarships opportunities will be available for students, parents and families. In addition, presentations about high school dual enrollment and other college services will be available.
“A-B Tech is eager to roll out the red carpet for community members,” said Michael Dempsey, Director of Recruitment. “We’re excited to showcase the variety and quality of our academic programs, and to connect visitors with educational opportunities that lead to workplace skills or transferable college credit.”
