Here’s an excerpt from the Asheville Citizen-Times article:
Charter Communications is making a major change in its lineup, dumping its analog signals, going all-digital, adding many new high-definition channels and requiring all customers to use a converter box or use a CableCARD device to receive TV.
The switch will begin Oct. 1 and will impact customers in Asheville, Black Mountain, Marion, Leicester, Weaverville and Waynesville, Charter spokeswoman Patti Michel said. Bills will not increase, and existing Charter customers are eligible for free equipment needed for the change, she said.
