AC-T: Fryar to finally get A-B Tech seat

Here’s an excerpt from the Asheville Citizen-Times article:

Buncombe County Commissioner Mike Fryar will join the Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College board of trustees next month, 10 months after his fellow commissioners first appointed him.

Fryar has been a critic of outgoing A-B Tech President Hank Dunn and the school’s handling of a 2011 referendum in which voters approved a quarter-cent county sales tax increase to pay for building projects at the school.

Dunn was involved in an initially successful effort to keep Fryar off the trustees’ board, an action he later called a mistake.
