Friday, June 29, 2012 is a code ORANGE air quality forecast day for the valleys and ridge tops of Asheville. This means that air quality will be unhealthy for sensitive groups. All children and active adults, and people with respiratory disease, such as asthma, should limit prolonged outdoor exertion in the afternoon and early evening. This also means that open burning will not be allowed tomorrow. Burning trash and other non-vegetative material is always prohibited.
