Alta Ridge Foot Specialists establish healthcare scholarship at Mars Hill University

Alta Ridge Foot Specialists (Robert L. van Brederode, DPM and W. Aaron Broyles, DPM) has recently established the Alta Ridge Foot Specialists Healthcare Scholarship at Mars Hill University. This scholarship will be awarded each academic year to a high achieving Mars Hill University junior or senior student with a demonstrated commitment to pre-medical, pre-podiatry, pre-dental, or pre-veterinary study.

Dr. van Brederode said, “We, the doctors at Alta Ridge Foot Specialists, are very grateful for scholarships we received many years ago when we were in our medical and surgical training. It is important to us to do what we can to give back to students who are now on the road we once traveled.”

Alta Ridge now joins other businesses that are supporting Mars Hill students through the university’s Corporate Scholarship Partner program. As Mars Hill University grows and expands to prepare its graduates for a rapidly changing world and economy, it seeks close partnerships with the business community. A Corporate Scholarship Partner is a business – large or small – which chooses to invest in individual scholarships for deserving Mars Hill University students. Corporate Scholarship Partners, will become special friends of the university and especially of their student scholarship recipients.

Alta Ridge Foot Specialists maintains two locations: 105 Chestnut Street in Mars Hill and 537 Altapass Highway in Spruce Pine.
