Press release from the Western North Carolina Veterans for Peace:
An antiwar protest will take place in Pack Square on Tuesday, January 17th, between 4:30 and 5:30 pm. The protest has been called by the Western North Carolina Veterans for Peace, chapter 099, to coincide with the United National AntiWar Coalition’s call for a week of protest from January 15th to the 22nd. This week has been chosen to honor the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and his opposition to war.
The current list includes 60 separate protests in 52 cities.
Four years of peace and now this: The doorstep of World War III.
