Man wanted for murder now in custody, turns himself in

Press release from Asheville Police Department:

UPDATE: The man wanted by Asheville Police for Sunday’s homicide in downtown Asheville turned himself in to law enforcement around noon Tuesday.

Danquries Green was served with his warrants and is being held at the Buncombe County Detention Facility with no bond on the 1st Degree Murder charge and a $10,000 bond on the charge of Discharging a Firearm within City Limits and nothing for the charge of Going to the Terror of the People.

APD detectives are continuing their investigation and ask anyone who may have more information about this case to send an anonymous tip by texting TIP2APD to 847411 or by using the TIP2APD smartphone application (search “Asheville PD” in your app store).  You can also contact APD at (828) 252-1110.
