APD investigating juvenile gunshot victim, seeks public’s help

Asheville Police are investigating a gun discharge at an East Asheville apartment complex that occurred Thursday night in which a juvenile was shot.

APD Patrol officers responded to an apartment complex located near the 300 block of District Drive around 10:10 p.m. on Nov. 9 to investigate reports of gun discharge. Shortly after arriving, officers located an abandoned vehicle struck by gunfire in the nearby area; around the same time, they learned of a juvenile suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso arriving at Mission Hospital.

APD Detectives are asking for the public’s help.
