APD investigating Saturday night shooting that injured two

Asheville Police are investigating a shooting that took place Saturday night, leaving two with non-life-threatening injuries.
APD officers responded to an apartment complex on Atkinson Street around 10:16 p.m. on June 22nd to investigate reports of two people shot. Immediately upon arrival, officers located a victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the abdomen and quickly began to administer medical aid until EMS arrived. The victim was transported to Mission Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 
Through their investigation, officers learned of the second victim suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to the chest and forearm, being taken to Mission Hospital by a third party prior to their arrival. 
Witnesses and victims described the shooter as a black male, teenager, with shoulder-length dreads, wearing a long-sleeved thermal shirt and white shoes. 
Detectives are asking for the public’s help.
