From City of Asheville Police Department:
(Asheville, N.C. – Nov. 10, 2016) – On the morning of Thursday, November 10th, 2016 at 1:47 a.m., Asheville Police received a call indicating a person in Deaverview Apartments had been shot. Travis Dominick Mayfield, born 6/29/1976, was found at the scene and transported to Mission Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and died at 2:54 AM.
The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Asheville Police Department at 828-252-1110 or Buncombe County Crime Stoppers at
