Asheville Police Department officers charged a man for stabbing another man with a butter knife Saturday following an argument in south Asheville.APD officers responded to a residence on Casteel Lane around 12:41 p.m. on February 22nd for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located a man suffering from knife wounds to his ribcage. The victim was transported to Mission Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.Through their investigation, officers discovered that Milton Thomas Johnson Jr. (11/22/1978) stabbed the victim with a butter knife following a verbal dispute and then fled the scene. Johnson has been charged with Assault With a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury.Johnson is described as a black male, 46 years old, 5’ 8”, between 145 and 200 pounds, with black dreadlocks and brown eyes. He has scars over his left and right eyes and on his left elbow. He is known to go by the street name “Thumper.”If you know Johnson’s whereabouts, please contact APD at (828) 252-1110.
