UPDATE (January 4, 2019): Aaja Atkins and Daniela Lopez have been safely located.
Press release from Asheville Police Department:
The Asheville Police Department is requesting assistance to locate two missing juveniles, Aaja Atkins and Daniela Lopez. Both were last seen in the West Asheville area on December 28, 2018. They are believed to be together and attempting to travel to the Charlotte area.
Atkins is described as a black female, 16 years of age, approximately 5’11”, medium build, black hair, and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a brown headband, a clip-in ponytail, yellow sweatshirt and black leggings.
Lopez is described as a Hispanic female, 16 years of age, approximately 5’2″, small build and black/brown hair down to almost her waist. She was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt and black leggings.
If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of Aaja Atkins and Daniela Lopez they encouraged to contact the Asheville Police Department at (828) 252-1110 or Asheville-Buncombe Crime Stoppers at (828) 255-5050, if they wish to remain anonymous.
