Asheville Police Department Respond to Gun Discharge Near Asheville Mall
Asheville, NC (May 23, 2017): Today at 4:40 p.m. officers with the Asheville Police Department were in the area of the Asheville Mall (3 South Tunnel Road) looking for suspects involved in the armed robbery at Spicer Greene Jewelers. While in the area they heard multiple gun shots and saw a vehicle fleeing the scene at a high rate of speed. Officers located the vehicle in Ledgewood Village Apartments and took the two occupants into custody.
Preliminary investigation reveals that this incident is unrelated to the armed robbery at Spicer Greene Jewelers.
