APD seeks assistance locating suspects

Update Oct. 15: Mahogheny Fair, Sonya Fair, and Quran Shabazz have all been taken into custody without incident.

On September 26 at approximately 11:45 a.m. the Asheville Police Department responded to iHop (245 Tunnel Road) after reports of an assault. A large party of approximately 12 individuals finished their meal and were in receipt of the final bill. Several members of the party became angry due to the additional charges for orange juice refills. These individuals were asked to leave the restaurant, and several did without further incident. A few members of the party remained inside and began yelling and eventually overturned a table and assaulted two employees. Both victims suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The Asheville Police Department has identified and charged five total suspects, two of which are juveniles. We are requesting assistance locate these suspects. All have open warrants for felony Assault Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury and misdemeanor Assault Inflicting Serious Injury.

Mahogheny Donnielle Fair, of Asheville, is described as a black female, 21 years of age, 5’1″, and approximately 105 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. She has a tattoo on her left forearm reading “Pray for Peace Prepare for War” and one on her upper arm reading “MDF”.

Sonya Renee Fair, of Asheville, is described as a black female, 40 years of age, 4’11”, and approximately 105 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. She has a tattoo of a cross on her upper arm and one on her right calf reading “Phat Kat”. Sonya Fair is facing an additional charge of Defrauding an Innkeeper, for failure to pay the bill.

Quran Omarri Shabazz, of Asheville, is described as a black female, 18 years of age, 5’2″, and approximately 120 pounds.
