This week marks the second year of an ongoing investigation into a hit and run collision that remains unsolved. The Asheville Police is encouraging anyone with any information on the case to come forward.The crash occurred around 1:54 a.m. on Sept. 26, 2021, on Hendersonville Road between Cedarcliff Road and Fairview Street. The driver of a Honda Civic struck cyclist Joe Marsh, 46, leaving him in critical condition. The driver then fled the scene.Less than a week later, Marsh sadly succumbed to his injuries.APD detectives and traffic safety unit officers conducted an investigation and need the public’s help in identifying the driver of the Honda Civic, a 2009-2011 model, which may have damage to the front right of the car.If you would like to anonymously share information, you can text TIP2APD to 847411 or use the TIP2APD smartphone app. You can also share information by calling 828-252-1110.
