Asheville Police are investigating the stabbing of two women at an apartment complex on Sunday.
APD officers responded around 2:37 a.m. on June 2 to Mission Hospital to investigate a stabbing in which two women suffered multiple stab wounds, arriving to seek medical treatment. One of the victims was in critical but stable condition, while the other suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Through their investigation, officers determined that the stabbing occurred as a result of an argument between the victims on Atkinson Street. Following the assault, one of the victims was able to drive to Mission Hospital, ensuring both received medical attention.
A person of interest has been identified, but Detectives would like the public’s help with any information about the stabbing. Please contact APD at (828) 252-1110.
