Asheville – On Friday, December 13, 2013, the Asheville Police Department Traffic Safety Unit hosted a Multi Agency Checkpoint. Along with members of the Asheville Police Department, representatives from MADD, WNC Safekids, Governors Highway Safety Program, North Carolina Highway Patrol, Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office, Fletcher Police Department, Black Mountain Police Department, Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, Macon County Sheriff’s Office, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Cherokee Tribal Police Department, Columbus Police Department, and Waynesville Police Department.
