The Asheville Downtown Association today announced that applications for this year’s Asheville Holiday Parade are now available. Applications will be accepted until Friday, October 3.
The 68th Asheville Holiday Parade, presented by Bojangles of WNC and produced by the Asheville Downtown Association (ADA), takes place Saturday, November 22 beginning at 11am. The parade theme is “Home for the Holidays.”
Applications for parade entries are available online at ashevilleparade.org or by emailing info@ashevilledowntown.org. Applications may be completed online but will not be valid until entry fee is received.
Entries will be judged in the following categories:
- Hand-crafted float or entry (nonprofit, civic group)
- Hand-crafted float or entry (business, corporate)
- Professional Dance Groups
- Professional Cheer, Gymnastics, Athletics
- K-12 Groups
- Other
Parade fees are:
- Business – Walking Entry $175; Vehicle w Float $225; Additional vehicles $75ea
- Nonprofit – Walking Entry $75; Vehicle w Float $125; Additional vehicles $50ea
- Marching Bands and ROTC – Fee waived
- Other Public School Entries – Walking Entry $50; Vehicle/Float & Walking $100
- Horse Entry – Carriage or Rider $50
Asheville Holiday Parade sponsors include: Bojangles of WNC, Deerfield Episcopal Retirement Community, TD Bank, Asheville Renaissance Hotel, Holston Gasses, Asheville Eye Associates, Kudzu Branding Co., Mix 96.5, Star 104.3, 98.1 The River, 99.9 Kiss Country, Asheville Scene, Asheville Citizen-Times, WNC Parent, The Laurel of Asheville, Aloft Asheville Downtown, WLOS, WNC magazine, and Asheville Color & Imaging. The Asheville Holiday Parade is also supported by the City of Asheville.
