The Cotton Mill Studios & Roberts Street Studios both got new owners on Friday, February 28, 2014. Both are now owned by artists! Cotton Mill Studios, Marty & Eileen Black’s labor of love for the past 12 years, has been sold to artists, Denise Carbonell & Derek Dominy. Denise & Derek expect to set up their shop this spring as Marty & Eileen wrap up The Potters Mark ceramic business they have run for some 40 odd years.
Robert Street Studios goes from Bill & Lynnell Goacher, two of the most unsung visionary heroes of the ARAD, to being owned by Robert Gardner, Alex Greenwood & Logan MacSporran… the three owners of RSS’s main tenant, The Asheville Glass Center… which means another building goes over to the artist side! Great News for the ARAD!
