Asheville Art Museum to hold drawing workshop May 16

Asheville Art Museum

The Asheville Art Museum is excited to present a workshop on May 16 designed to ignite the unique creative process that we all possess. Local artist Ken Hillberry will use his artistic expertise and teaching skills to encourage each participant to discover or strengthen their own creative journey by focusing on the fundamentals of drawing. This workshop is suitable for all levels of experience.

Hillberry has a BFA in Fine Art from West Virginia University, where he concentrated in drawing, painting and printmaking. During his career he has worked commercially as an illustrator and graphic designer, while continuing to focus on his work in a studio environment. Hillberry has taught classes for students for all ages, and he specializes in enhancing the inherent creative nature in everyone, novice or seasoned.

All materials and snacks are included in the cost. Participants may reserve a spot in the workshop by calling the Museum at 828.253.3227 or by visiting www.ashevilleart.org. Cost for the workshop is $50 for members and $65 for non-members. The deadline to register for the workshop is Wednesday, May 14.
