Asheville-based Innovative Solar Systems is ready to start construction on a large PV project that will generate enough power from the sun to serve 15,000-20,000 homes, according to an article on Solar Server. The company has gotten the necessary permits and approvals. The 75 megawatt solar farm will be built in Fayetteville. It will be one of the largest such installations in the Southeast, the article says.
Innovative Solar 42… will be constructed on approximately five hundred acres of farm land in Fayetteville, NC…. Innovative Solar Systems on its own account has approximately 500 MW of shovel ready solar farm projects available for immediate sale and build out here in the U.S. and another 1 GW of projects in various stages of development in about six other renewable energy friendly states.
Innovative Solar Systems is located in south Asheville.
