Mark your calendars now for the Fall 2015 when our engaging “Sip and Speak like a Local” series returns. Led by Dr. Allison Weems and Metro Wines Sommelier, Andy Hale, each class will meet for 75 minutes and will focus on a winemaking region (Loire, Alsace, Bordeaux, Bourgogne, Languedoc-Rousillon, Rhône, Provence, and Champagne). Level I students will learn essential French phrases via the exploration of wineries, history, gastronomy, culture, attractions, and traditions of the terroir. This series, Level II students will be engaged in conversation based on topics inspired by the region and those requested by participants.
Have no fear, sipping the complimentary glass of featured regional French wine selected by Metro Wines Sommelier will calm your nerves and have you speaking like a local sooner than you think! We will also offer des amuse-gueules (tid-bits) to fuel your inner-linguist. And we promise . . . no exams!
