Asheville Police Asking For Public’s Help Locating Missing Man

Asheville, NC (January 30, 2025): The Asheville Police Department is requesting the public’s help in their continued efforts to locate a missing person. This week marks the first anniversary of the disappearance of Gabriel Thor Crow.

Gabriel Thor Crow (01/21/1997) was last seen on January 25 on Smokey Park Highway. He is described as a Native American male, 5 feet 11 inches, around 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Crow was last seen wearing dark-colored jeans and a black jacket.

Last April, the Asheville Police Department, in coordination with numerous Law Enforcement, Fire, and Emergency Service Agencies conducted an extensive search of Spivey Mountain and the surrounding area where he was last seen. Unfortunately, no evidence regarding the whereabouts of Mr. Crow was found.

We urge the public to come forward with any information they may have. Even the smallest detail could provide the link that helps us locate Gabriel. Please contact the Asheville Police Department at (828) 252-1110. You can also submit an anonymous tip via the TIP2APD smartphone application (search “Asheville PD” in your app store) or text TIP2APD to 847411. Your assistance is invaluable in our ongoing efforts to resolve this matter.
