Asheville Police Department investigating shooting in West Asheville

Press release from Asheville Police Department:

At approximately 3 a.m. on November 11, the Asheville Police Department (APD) responded to a report of a person having been shot on Granada Street in west Asheville. The officers arrived to find that a 31-year-old man had been shot numerous times. The officers began providing medical care for the victim until paramedics arrived. The victim was transported to the hospital, where he is currently in critical condition.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Section (CIS) responded to the scene to begin their investigation, which is ongoing at this time. If anyone has information concerning this incident, they are encouraged to contact the APD at 828-252-1110.
