Asheville police make drug trafficking arrest

Press release from Asheville Police Department:

Asheville Police Department officers arrested a man on drug trafficking charges early Saturday morning while investigating a reported breaking and entering in west Asheville. 

Officers responded to a report of someone breaking into a motor vehicle on Crowell Road around 3:00 a.m. on November 16th. Upon arrival, officers located the described vehicle and made contact with the occupant, Joshua Randy Queen (01/31/1985). During the investigation, Queen was found to be in possession of a trafficking amount of fentanyl, and other drugs.

Seized:

7.5 grams Fentanyl

10.13 grams Methamphetamine

Arrested:

Joshua Randy Queen (01/31/1985)

-Possession With Intent to Manufacture Sell or Deliver Schedule II x2

-Trafficking Fentanyl

-Maintaining a Vehicle or Dwelling for Drugs

-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Queen was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $10,000 (or $1,000 to a bondsman) secured bond issued by a magistrate.
