Asheville is a city with some of the best food in the South East and some of the most innovative cuisine is found in our local food trucks. If you’ve wondered what the best food truck in the area is, you can find out at the First Annual Asheville Food Truck Show Down on Saturday March 15. Dozens of food trucks will meet in the parking lot of the Masonic Temple at 80 N. Broadway from noon – 8 pm to compete for the title of “Best Truck in Asheville.” Our celebrity judges will have the difficult task of choosing “The Best Truck in Asheville” while the public enjoys the great food and music.

The event is being hosted by Pinups for Pitbulls and will also benefit Manna Food Bank and the Asheville Humane Society. Attendees are encourages to bring canned goods for the food bank or pet food for the Humane Society.

In addition to great food and music, people are welcome to visit the pop up art gallery in the dining room of the Masonic Temple presented by the Third Annual Asheville Tattoo and Arts Expo. Other events that day will include the Rat Rod Rumble invitation only car show presented by Bootleggers Car Club at the Renaissance Hotel, Celebrity tattooers from Inkmaster and Tattoo Nightmares, tattoo contests, live music and more at the Asheville Tattoo and Arts Expo. “By working together with Pinups for Pitbulls and the Asheville Food Truck Showdown we are trying to give people a weekend of fun and help out some of our most deserving local charities” said JR Yarnall of the Asheville Tattoo and Arts Expo.
