Asheville Hospitalist Group welcomes Dr. Rody Singer to team

ASHEVILLE, NC (March 14, 2013) – Asheville Hospitalist Group, a practice of Mission Medical Associates, is pleased to add Rody B. Singer, MD, to its team of physicians. Dr. Singer is a dedicated physician and an established hospitalist in the North Carolina medical community.

As a hospitalist, Dr. Singer specializes in internal medicine and inpatient care. Dr. Singer most recently served as a hospitalist at Gaston Memorial Hospital in Gaston, NC. There, he provided a full spectrum of hospitalist services and was intimately involved in expanding the four-physician practice to more than 30 physicians and six nurse practitioners and physician assistants. His professional experience also includes working as a hospitalist at both New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC, and at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT.

Dr. Singer earned his medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway, NJ, and completed his residency with a focus on internal medicine and pediatrics at Yale University Medical School in New Haven, CT. Upon completion of his residency, he served as a Clinical Instructor at Yale University School of Medicine and later as a Pediatric Emergency Physician at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, CT. Dr. Singer is certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics.

Dr. Singer enjoys road cycling, mountain biking and spending time with his wife and their two Boston terrier “children.”
