Big blue. Big brother? WLOS reports: maybe.

According to WLOS: New recycling bins in Asheville contain a high tech hardware. Embedded in the handle is a small chip with big possibilities. Radio frequency identification transmitters are included in all of the city’s new blue containers rolled out last month. The city says right now the tags can only be used to find out the address where each bin belongs.
