Press release from Buncombe County
At its Aug. 20 meeting, the Board of Commissioners selected members for the recently established Ad Hoc Short-Term Rental Committee. The committee will convene in September and October, and then present its recommendations to the Planning Board in November. In December, the Planning Board will present its recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners.
The community members selected for the committee are:

- Matt Lutz
- Jay Gerlach
- Kit Molina-Nauert
- Angelica Cote
- Chris Joyell
- Andrea Golden
- Candice Matelski-Brady
They will be joined by Planning Board members Nancy Waldrop and Kenneth Kahn, along with Commissioners Brownie Newman and Parker Sloan.
The areas of representation for the commission include real estate professionals, short-term rental property owners, affordable housing advocates, ancillary business owners, community at-large, and one or more Planning Board members.
