Buncombe County will be providing a Community Update today at 2:00 pm via Facebook Live @Buncombegov. The Spanish version will be aired via Facebook Live @BCHHS. Speakers for today’s update include:

  • Dr. Jennifer Mullendore, Interim Public Health Director and Medical Director for Buncombe County
  • Dr. William Hathaway, Chief Medical Officer – Mission Hospital
  • Ashley-Michelle Thublin, Director of Communications for Asheville City, and
  • Dr. Tony Baldwin, Superintendent for Buncombe County Schools

    On the subject of COVID and our numbers rising…gee, wonder how much it has to do with people moving here in record numbers from places like Georgia, Florida, South Carolina? Check out Facebook sites like Asheville Riff Raff or observe the way property for sale or rent is being snatched up before it’s barely advertised. Why is nobody closing the borders? WTH?
