Buncombe County Memorial Day Schedules

Buncombe County government offices and libraries will be closed on Monday, May 30, in observance of Memorial Day.

In honor of our fallen soldiers, veterans, and their families please join the Buncombe Community in solidarity at these events taking place in our county this Memorial Day.

Solid Waste

The Landfill and Transfer Station will be closed on Monday, May 30.

Waste Pro will be closed on Monday, May 30. No trash/recycling collection will be collected. Monday collections will occur on Tuesday, May 31, Tuesday collections on Wednesday, and so on with Friday collections on Saturday.

Recreation Services

Administrative offices are closed on Monday, May 30.

All Buncombe County parks are open regular hours on Monday, May 30. All five Buncombe County outdoor polls are open on Saturday, May 28. Read more here.

Libraries

All Buncombe County public libraries, per their normal schedule, are closed on Monday, May 30. Access our digital resources at buncombecounty.org/library.

Buncombe County Courthouse

Buncombe County courts observe the North Carolina Judicial Branch Holiday schedule and will be closed Monday, May 30.

Mountain Mobility

Mountain Mobility is only operating ADA paratransit service on Monday, May 30. No other trips will be served.

Health & Human Services

All BCHHS offices including the Immunization Clinic will be closed Monday, May 30.

Register of Deeds

The Buncombe County Register of Deeds will be closed Monday, May 30. Online services will remain available.

Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office

Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office front desk will be closed Monday, May 30, all other operations will be on a normal schedule.

Emergency Services

Administrative offices will be closed Monday, May 30. EMS and 911 maintain normal operations.
