The Notice previously given that the Buncombe County Planning Board will hold a public hearing to consider the application described below on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 9:30 AM, is hereby amended to announce that said meeting (the “Remote Meeting”) will be held remotely and to include the means whereby the public can access the Remote Meeting as it occurs because one or more of the members of the public body now desire to participate remotely. This Amended Notice also provides information on how written comments on the Remote Meeting may be submitted.
ZPH2021-00048-Pinners Cove Rezoning: Jesse M. Swords, Attorney & Authorized Agent, on behalf of owner KLP Pinners EAT, LLC has applied to amend the Official Zoning Map of Buncombe County, NC, to rezone a portion of a parcel of land identified as tax lot PIN 9655-87-3857-00000 (unaddressed parcel north of, and adjacent to: 81 and 85 Chapel Hill Church Road; and 16 and 30 Gilmore Drive; and 212 Spruce Forest Lane; and 27, 30, and 39 Jean Drive), which is zoned R-LD Residential-Low Density Zoning District, to the R-2 Residential Zoning District.
The public can access and participate in the Remote Meeting as it occurs via the following ZOOM web link. The public may also access and participate in the Remote Meeting via telephone by calling: (646) 558-8656 and entering Meeting ID: 881 1462 2776.
Members of the public who are unable to participate in the Remote Meeting via Zoom due to a lack of technological literacy or other reason may request a reasonable accommodation in writing, outlining their need for a reasonable accommodation, and providing sufficient contact information to the Buncombe County Planning Department no later than forty-eight (48) hours prior to the Remote Meeting.
Pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. § 166A-19.24(e), The Planning Board will allow for written comments on the subject of the Remote Meeting to be submitted between publication of this Amended Notice (which shall occur no later than 5:00 p.m. today, Thursday, January 20, 2022) and 24 hours prior to the scheduled time for the beginning of the Remote Meeting. Such written comment may be delivered to either pzboards@buncombecounty.org or to the Buncombe County Planning Department at 46 Valley St., Asheville, NC 28801.
