Press release from Buncombe County Schools:

Due to the concerns of morning snowfall and dropping temperatures, Buncombe County Schools students will dismiss 3 hours early on Friday, January 31, and buses will not travel on icy roads.

Buses will begin their routes, student drivers will be allowed to leave, and parents who pick up their students after school may do so beginning 3 hours early.

Again, Buncombe County Schools will dismiss 3 hours early today, January 31. Thank you!

And a note to all parents, especially to elementary car-rider parents, our staff members will remain at school until your child is picked up. They will be safe and supervised until you arrive at school.
