CFHC awards more than $400,000 in 2016 scholarships

Donor generosity results in Community Foundation of Henderson County awarding $410,500 in scholarships for 2016

HENDERSONVILLE, NC, June 10, 2016: Thanks to the generosity and long-term vision of donors, new Community Foundation of Henderson County scholarships totaling $180,650 have been awarded to 98 scholars, with many of these awards eligible for renewal for additional years.
Donors’ inspiring philanthropy also resulted in an additional $229,850 being offered in assistance for current scholarships eligible for renewal, bringing the total in CFHC awards for the 2016-17 academic year to $410,500.
