Full announcement from the city of Asheville:
ASHEVILLE – Asheville city government offices will be closed Friday, Apr. 6, in observance of the holiday weekend.
All Asheville Transit routes and facilities will be closed. Friday is one of eight days throughout the calendar year that Asheville Transit does not operate. For a complete list of Holiday closures please go to: www.ashevilletransit.com.
All Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts facilities will be closed with the exception of the following facilities: Asheville Municipal Golf Course and Food Lion Skatepark which will operate normal Friday hours.
The Western North Carolina Nature Center will be open over the holiday. For hours of operation and other information about the WNC Nature Center visit http://wncnaturecenter.com/.
All public safety services, including police, fire and emergency response, will operate according to normal schedule – 24 hours a day, seven days a week – during the holiday.
