Community High to hold haunted house fundraiser

Press release

Community High School

On Tuesday, October 28, between 6 and 9 p.m., guests are invited to take a guided tour of the hundred-year-old school, restored to its former, fictional glory: a “haunted” medical and psychiatric facility.

Tours begin at sunset and include visits — and visitations — of our operating and recovery rooms; experimental psychiatry labs; children’s ward; boiler room; and patient day-rooms, courtyard, and cafeteria. Children under 13 require an accompanying adult. Experience our “Danse Macabre” for only $5 (all proceeds benefit the school and its students).

If you still have an appetite, BBQ, beverages, and desserts will be available. For parents, children and the faint of heart, Halloween-themed activities and entertainment can be found in the school gymnasium.

Community High School is located at 235 Old US 70 in Swannanoa. For more information, call 828.686.7734.
