Comprehensive Plan Public Input Session

Press release from town of Woodfin:

February 2, 2022 – First incorporated in 1971, the Town of Woodfin celebrates its 50 years by mounting a comprehensive planning process to guide future growth and development. The 2042 Woodfin Comprehensive Plan will establish a unified vision, along with goals and priorities intended to shape the town’s next 10-20 years.

Through the planning process, the community is invited to weigh in on important matters like land use, transportation, public services, infrastructure, parks and recreation, and natural and cultural resources. The process will document the vision and identify strategies to realize that vision.

The Town will host an informational meeting about the Comprehensive Plan on Thursday, February 10 (5:30-7:00pm) to provide information on the plan and planning process and to gather input from community members. Please attend either the drop-in session or the virtual session and share your thoughts about the Town’s future and its current issues, concerns, strengths, and opportunities.

Please join us either in person or virtually:

Community engagement is a cornerstone of a successful comprehensive planning process, giving residents an opportunity to say, “This is who we are”, “This is what we want/need in our Town”, “This is what I am concerned about” and “This is what I am excited about for Woodfin’s future.”

Please share your ideas and priorities by completing a survey – you can complete it online here: https://tinyurl.com/TOWCPSURVEY. Printed copies of the survey in English and Spanish are available at Town Hall and the Woodfin Water Department.

Find out more and stay up to date by visiting the Town’s Comprehensive Plan webpage.
