Council on Aging for Henderson County brings on Encore Career Fellow

PRESS RELEASE:

The Council on Aging (COA) for Henderson County has taken advantage of a unique opportunity.  Keith Logan, veteran of 30 years in the corporate world, has joined COA as an Encore Career Fellow.  After 25 years at Intel Corporation in Phoenix, AZ, Keith recently “retired” and relocated to Hendersonville with his wife Betsy.  Keith’s work at Intel was primarily focused on IT project and program management supporting Intel’s supply chain.  He led several major enterprise software initiatives for the company, including the redesign of Intel’s warehouse management systems, overhaul of Intel’s order management pipeline, and supply chain integration of a major communications business acquisition.  Most recently, he led a team of senior project/program managers and was responsible for the execution of the portfolio of projects and budget oversight for the group.
During the next six months, Keith will support COA with several systems projects and operational improvements.  While Keith retired from Intel, he still plans to continue to work for many years.  “The Encore Fellowship is a fantastic mechanism for me to integrate into a new community, build a network of contacts, and do meaningful work that directly affects the lives of people in a positive way.  I am grateful for the opportunity that COA has given me and look forward to making a difference here.”
“What an exciting time at Council on Aging!“ says Executive Director Trina Stokes. “We are thrilled to have Keith joining us and the timing could not have been any better.  COA is currently undergoing numerous IT and software updates and we will rely heavily on Keith’s background to keep the projects running smoothly.  Ultimately our goal is to expose Keith to the great work non-profits do here in Henderson County and allow him the chance to make an impact in our community.  We are so grateful to the Encore Fellowship Program for providing us with this opportunity.”
