The Cradle of Forestry in America will hold its annual Firefly Twilight Tour on Saturday, June 18 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Enjoy this magical time in the forest while learning about the natural history of these fascinating insects.
The program begins in the Cradle’s outdoor amphitheater. Naturalists will discuss the life cycle and special features of firefly biology and behavior. As night falls they will lead participants along the paved Forest Festival Trail searching for fireflies, exploring the surrounding forest and discussing forest ecology. The amphitheater and trail are wheelchair accessible.
Cost for this evening program is $6 for adults, $3 for youth 15 and under, and holders of America the Beautiful, Golden Age, and Every Kid in a Park passes.
