PRESS RELEASE:
Dancing Bear Toys is happy to announce its first ever royal game day in celebration of the tenth anniversary of one of our favorite games Sleeping Queens. The card game was invented by 6yearold Miranda Evarts, who thought up the game one night when she couldn’t fall asleep. She awoke the next morning and with help from her older sister, Madeleine and her parents, Denise and Max created this wonderfully whimsical world of napping nobles like the Pancake Queen, the Ladybug Queen, the Pasta King, the Pasta King, and so many more. As you immerse yourself in the Evarts’s fantasyland, you will find a game full of kings, queens, dragons and knights that helps develop memory, strategy, and elementary arithmetic skills.
To celebrate, we will have a host of free activities centered around the game and its characters. There will be the game out for play, as well as a Royal Photobooth for regal photos where you can meet some of the Kings and Queens. You can design your own fantastical Queen or King or go above and beyond at our CreateYourOwnGame station. And don’t forget, there will be raffles, prizes, and so much fun!
WHEN: Saturday, February 27th, 2016 from 1:002:00 p.m.
WHERE: Dancing Bear Toys, 518 Kenilworth Rd at the intersection of Kenilworth and Tunnel Rd.
WHY: We love this game so much we want to share it with you in an exciting afternoon with an array of royal celebration! This event is FREE and open to the public.
