In partnership with the North Carolina Youth Camp Association, Diamond Brand will host a Camp Fair featuring representatives from over 20 different WNC camps at its Arden store. This is a great way to learn about all the different camps in Western North Carolina and to find the one that’s the right fit for your child or grandchild. This event is free and open to the public. February 16th: Outdoor Movie Night at Southern Appalachian Brewery
Join Diamond Brand at Southern Appalachian Brewery in Hendersonville for an evening of local brews and short adventure films running the gamut of outdoor adventure sports like kayaking, kayak surfing, long-boarding, and backpacking. The event will benefit two great causes: Our Voice and RiverLink. Sunday, February 19th at 2:30 pm: Park Ridge Health Frostbite 5K and 10K
This annual run is in its 19th year of being hosted by Park Ridge Health Hospital. New for 2012 is a 10K in addition to the 5K and Fun Run. The 5K & 10K races start on Park Ridge Health Hospital’s Campus and finish at the Lelia Patterson Fitness Center. Lelia Patterson Fitness Center is also where race day registration & packet pick-up is located. Thursday, February 23rd at 6:00 pm: Ultimate Hike Info Session at Diamond Brand
Join Diamond Brand and hike for a good cause by participating in the Ultimate Hike! The Ultimate Hike is an event in which ordinary folks complete the extraordinary feat of hiking 26.5 miles in one day. The local opportunity will be held this spring on May 19th when participants will hike 26.5 miles of the Foothills Trail in an effort to help find a cure for pediatric cancer. Each hiker is required to attend one information session held around the Asheville area.
